    The Pharaoh Hound is one of the oldest dog breeds on record. They appear in ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs that date back to 3000 B.C. Although thought to have originated in Egypt, DNA tests trace the Pharaoh Hound’s origins back to Malta. The first Pharaoh Hound was brought to England in the 1930s and they first came to America in the 1960s. This breed is known for its popular regal look and agility. They make wonderful family pets as long as they get their required amounts of exercise. Any young and active family would love to have a Pharaoh Hound as a member.
